In all cases, a Hiswa LPG Survey is the answer, it includes pressure testing, survey of the outside and all of its components, and a check on whether it is still compliant with today’s standards. Replacement of the flexible hose at the stove and the regulator is included, provided it is carried out as standard and in accordance with regulations. This service is provided on location in the province of Zeeland.

Hull Thickness Measuring

Measuring the hull thickness of a vessel built of metal is important. Due to corrosion a vessel can lose thickness and finally the integrity of the hull might be endangered, let alone your safety. We use a Thickness Gauge which can measure through layers of paint, so no paint removal is necessary. You receive a written report which includes the measurements taken with the gauge. These thickness measurements are part of the complete survey when conducting a pre-sale survey of a metal hull.

Moisture Measurement of a GRP Hull

Of course you have heard some stories about Osmosis.
Whatever the consequences can or will be, there is some agreement on the commencement of Osmosis,
the more moisture present in a GRP laminate, the higher the risk of osmosis. This doesn’t necessarily include the visible signs of osmosis being present.
An ultrasonic moisture measurement of the laminate together with my interpretation of the data revealed thereby and other factors such as: year of build, thickness of material, kind of material etc. gives you a clear view of the moisture content of your underwater hull.
When conducting a pre-sale survey of a GRP hull, this measurement is part of the complete survey.
